The FedEFoC (Catholic Pre-primary and Primary Education Federation) is one of the different federations grouped into the SeGEC, General Secretary of the Catholic Education in the French speaking part of Belgium. It's an association of all the catholic schools, partly supported by the State. They represent some 42% of the school offer. Their central office provides administrative and pedagogical support to the local schools and is in charge of teacher training. The language sector is particularly active in the coordination of the teacher training and development and support of the CLIL schools. The Central European Department promotes the different European projects and programmes to the schools, helps them to apply for LLP programmes and assists them during the activities. The coordinators of the Language sector and of the European Department are also associated to the Neues Lernen language project. They have a high expertise is the holistic approach of foreign languages. They are represented by Bruno Mathelart and Anne Belien.

The role of both representatives is to share their expertise, to contribute to the French version of the framework, classroom strategies and guidelines for the teacher, to develop the activities and to test them in their schools, to disseminate the results and to organize teacher meetings and training. Thanks to different pedagogical and communication tools, they will be able to relate the progress of the work and to promote an active approach to language learning. The social mission of their institution will also be valued by their initiatives in less advantaged schools and population.

Both Anne Belien and Bruno Mathelart are experts in the development of pedagogical material to teach languages. They are also key-persons in the dissemination of the project information and the organisation of teacher training sessions.

Bruno Mathelart has taught English and Dutch in primary and secondary education. He then became the "edutainer" (entertainer in education) of a Language non-profit organization using all artistic approaches to teach languages: songs, dance, theatre, drawing, games, … and leading Language Festivals all over Europe. At the SeGEC, he is responsible of the European Department, coordinator of the Neues Lernen Team, secretary of the CLIL staff and he's the link between the schools and the National LLP agency. He coordinates teacher training sessions for secondary level. He sends a newsletter every 2 months to each school and writes articles in the Catholic Education magazine "Entrées Libres".
